Small Space Solution
When Zach and I found our current home we're renting, one small detail I missed was the lack of counter space in our bathroom. Not a huge deal most of the time, but it can be a challenge getting ready. After having my makeup slip off the narrow sink and go crashing behind the toilet enough times, I knew there had to be a better solution.
Our bedroom isn't huge, but it does have a lot of wall space on my side. I already keep most of my skincare products on the bedside table, so creating a small getting ready space here made a lot of sense. I didn't want to overly crowd it, though, and I especially didn't want to block my walking path with a shelf I'd have to continuously dodge. It was a unique challenge and a really fun one to find the right pieces for!
I found this great floating shelf from Target that fit perfectly and isn't as deep as a traditional shelf. It still has plenty of room for everything I need, including my dream mirror. The original plan was just the shelf and mirror, but after everything was set up, I noticed a lot of empty space that could be put to better use. My bags have been sitting on the floor near my closet, so I looked around for something to hang them from and found this great purse rack.
